Haybaby has a bed!!!

This past weekend, we got the dresser and crib into Hayden's room! Yay! My little man has a bed! This is such a relief cause I feel like something is in it's place. Now if for some reason he comes early, he at least has a comfy bed to come home to. Adam and his dad assembled the crib and Hayden's Grandma (my mom) and Nanna (Adam's mom) helped to put up decorations. It's not finished yet, but it's a start. My mom found a moose lamp and a nightlight we are going to order for the dresser. Here are some pictures of what it looks like so far. You can click on each picture to get a larger view:

Yay!

I also hung in his room a picture my brother took out in Big Bend, which I love. It's right when you enter the doorway. I was glad to be able to incorporate Uncle Wesley's photography in it.

Just thought I'd share the progress!

The Cupcake

Some have asked me about my most recent doctors visit. Well, since you asked...

I had a doctors appointment on Wednesday. It was pretty routine and things looked great. The only issue was that I waited for almost an hour due to another patient being complicated. In that hour, I managed to find a Southern Living magazine that had a picture of a cupcake on it decorated for the 4th of July. I looked up the cupcake in the index and flipped to the recipe page. I read about 3 different recipes for desserts: cupcakes, creme cake, and lemon cake. All that was fine and dandy until you consider my state. My original appointment was at 1:30 and for lunch I had a quick sandwich around noon before running off to my appointment. In that next hour of waiting, I began to get a little hungry. Finding the cupcake magazine...well, this just intensified it. It turned into a full fledged pregnancy craving which I tried everything to ignore: I texted Adam, I stepped on the scale, I quickly stepped off...I attempted to take my own blood pressure, I played with the plastic ovary statue, I emptied out the contents of my purse looking for a mint, I found a pen, I played a game of tic tac toe...with myself, I put the pen away, I sat on the exam table, I attempted to sit indian style, I fell off the exam table, I glanced back at the cupcake, I text Adam about the cruetly of said cupcake, nothing worked...Once my doctor got to me, I was never so happy in my life to have a her check me out so fast. So finally when I left I drove straight to the store. I ended up baking 24 cupcakes and ate about 6 of them in one sitting. *sigh* Needless to say I am over my cupcake craving...

But I start going back every two weeks now. Hopefully I can avoid any issues with cupcakes from here on out. So my next appointment is July 1st and I will be 30 weeks. So it's just a little more than 11weeks till little man is here!!! It's getting so close!

Cribs, and showers, and clothing OH MY!

Party at my Crib, 2 am...:

About a month ago I went to order Hay baby's crib. My mom told us she would purchase our crib, dresser, and glider which we are so thankful for. However, when I went to order it, it wasn't in stock ANYWHERE! I was pretty bummed out cause I just love it. So they put us on a waiting list to be notified when it came in. Well, yesterday I went to Babies R Us with my friend Kim to clean up my registry. (I got a little clicker happy when I first started it...needed to be more refined!) When we were there I decided to check on the status of the crib. Lo and behold! It was IN!! Not only that, but it was the first day they had them in stock at the manufacturer! I called my mom and she said ORDER IT NOW! The sales lady told me that everyone who wanted it had been calling all week inquiring about it. I was so fortunate to have been in the store that day, because I am sure the new stock will go fast. So we got the order in and it should be here in 7-14 days. These pictures are from the Babies R Us website, so this is not my lamp or nursery pattern, but you can see the crib! It's a convertible one so it will grow with Hayden. I can't wait to get the nursery all put together!

Thank you Grandma!!! I love my crib and dresser! Can't wait to get many naps and nights of sleep in it! ~ Love, Hayden

A baby needs how much clothing??

We are still amazed at how much we are receiving for Hayden. I just love what people have given us! Last weekend, Hayden's Auntie Emily found a little onsie with pants and a jacket that says "Little Man" which is what I call him! Also, Adam's cousins RJ and Shiloh gave us three big buckets of clothing to use for him, which I have had a blast going through. A few of my sweet friends in Houston also gave us some stuff when I was home at the end of May. I just really can't even begin to thank everyone for all you do for us! Adam, Hayden and I are so grateful!! I never realized how much stuff goes into having and raising a baby!!! AH!

Mmmmm, cake and punch...

The first of the baby showers is going to be July 11th in Fort Worth. Three of my beautiful friends (Catherine, Christine, and Tricia) are putting it on and I am just so thankful for all they are doing. I don't know all the details that they have planned, but from the little I've heard they are going all out!! I am getting excited!! The Houston shower should be August 15th, but I will give more info on that as it gets closer. I tried to invite people repsective to where they live, so if you don't get an invite to one or another and wanted to come, please let me know! I am NOT trying to leave anyone out.

Other than that, I am continually blessed by an amazing man who has taken such good care of me and Hayden. Even down to the littlest things, such as a bad day or emotional freak out, Adam has been there for me in everyway. He really is so wonderful and I am thankful for him everyday!

I have my next appointment this upcoming Wednesday so I will update again then!

Hayden's studio portrait!

Today we had our 3D/4D ultrasound. Wow, was it an awesome experience!! The only issue we had was that little Hay baby wouldn't get his hands off his face!!! We tried all sorts of tricks and angles, but he was just wanting to play peekaboo... Even though, we still got some great shots and really enjoyed getting to see what our little man looks like. Below are some of the better shots! When we finished, the lady had a little moose and his recorded heartbeat to put it in, so Adam got Hayden his first official stuffed moose!! It's pretty cute. Hope everyone enjoys seeing our little man as much as we did. I recommend it to anyone having a baby!

24 weeks

Today I had my 24 week appointment! WOW! Where did the time go? I can't believe there is just over 3 more months till my little man is here! Anyway, things looked good at the check up. I took the gestational diabetes test and passed. I had to drink an orange drink that tasted similar to a watered down popcycle. It actually turned out to be a fun event because the women in the waiting room were cheering me on as I had to get the whole bottle down in 3 minutes!! Felt like I was back in College Station! (just kidding!) But I am so glad that is over. So I go back again in 4 week, then start going every 2 after that (I will be 30 weeks at that point). For those who don't count in weeks, Hayden's due date is the 40th week. So time sure is starting to fly by!

On June 3rd, Adam and I are going in for a 3D/4D sonogram. I am very excited! I have heard that you really can tell exactly what your baby looks like in these. So I am thrilled I get to see his little face! We will be getting a few pictures in color, some in black and white, and then a video of it. I will post those once we go.

Little man finally took the initiative to kick for Daddy the other day. I got 3 swift kicks to the stomach before I grabbed Adam's hand and put it on the spot. Sure enough, about 15 seconds later, Hayden kicked. I was super excited that he finally was able to feel him kick. He moves around so much during the day and I think people wonder if I am just talking to myself when I say things to my stomach. At least Adam knows I am not making it up! hehe (c:

I am going to try and start updating this blog a little more often, so stay tuned for more news soon!! We love you all!!

22 weeks

This upcoming Wednesday will mark my 23rd week. Time is starting to fly by and that's exciting and scary all at the same time!! Our next doctors appointment is on the 20th and I have to go through the gestational diabetes testing. I've heard from a lot of other mommy's that it is not a fun day. Basically I have to drink a bottle of this syrup stuff and then wait an hour to test my sugar levels. YUCK! If that test doesn't come back good, I have to go in for a 3 hour test. I am praying all is well and I won't have to go back!!! Either way, it's good to know. I want a happy healthy Hayden!! Say a little prayer for me and little man!

Hayden is starting to get a wonderful assortment of things from friends and family. We are so thankful to everyone who has already given us gifts and items for him. (Onsies, and bibs, and booties, OH MY!) He is even begining to get a collection of Aggie things!! Let the brain washing start!!! WHOOP!! But that aside, every little thing we receive is a huge blessing and you are all such an important part of ours and Hayden's lives. Thank you!!!

This past weekend was such a great weekend! We got to spend some time with both sides of Hayden's grandparents, great-grandparents, his aunt, and his uncles to be!! He is going to be a very loved little boy! Then on Mother's Day, I was surprised when I woke up to a sweet gift and mom to be card from Adam. I got the most beautiful necklace!!! I don't think he realizes how much it means to me!

I will always cherish this. Adam is going to be such a great Dad!

Hope all the other mommy's out there had a wonderful Mother's Day!
